Asparagus Rolls

Ingredients: 
  • 12 slices white bread, crusts removed
  • 8 ounces whipped cream cheese
  • 1 green onion, chopped
  • 8 bacon strips, cooked and crumbled
  • Salt, to taste
  • 24 fresh asparagus spears, woody ends removed
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 3 Tablespoons freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions: 
  • Preheat oven to 400F
  • Flatten bread with a rolling pin
  • In a small bowl, combine cream cheese, onions, bacon and a sprinkle of salt; Spread evenly over bread slices
  • Place 2 asparagus spears on each bread slice; Roll up bread and place seam-side down on a greased baking sheet
  • Brush with butter and sprinkle with Parmesan
  • Bake for 10-12 minutews or until lightly browned
  • Serve warm
