Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and saute onion, green pepper and garlic until soft (5-8 minutes). Remove, cool slightly and wipe out pan.
Mash the beans with a fork in a medium bowl (mash up until some halves of beans remain, but no or few whole beans).
In a separate small bowl, mix the lime juice, mayo, oregano, cumin and salt until well mixed.
To the bowl with the beans, add the psyllium husk powder, bread crumbs, onion/pepper mixture, Mayo mixture and 1/2 cup water.
Mix with a fork or spoon, then knead with your hands until mixture is firm and fully mixed (about 1 minute).
Divide the burger mixture into 6 equal pieces and form into patties about 1" thick.
Add a thin layer of oil to the skillet that vegetables were cooked in and preheat over medium heat.
Cook patties until browned and cooked through - about 5 minutes per side.
Serve warm on buns and/or with toppings as desired.
