Agathosma is a genus of about 140 species of flowering plants in the family Rutaceae, native to the southern part of Africa. Common names include buchu, boegoe, bucco, bookoo and diosma.

Cautions:
- Can irritate the stomach, kidneys, liver and increase menstrual flow if taken in large doses.
- Avoid if pregnant.
- Can slow blood clotting, so avoid if you have a bleeding disorder or are on drugs to slow clotting.
- Avoid at least 2 weeks prior to having surgery.
- Talk with your doctor if taking lithium, it may affect your prescribed dosage.
Healing Properties
- Used to treat urinary issues such as painful urination, UTIs, infections, cystisis, prostatitis and urethritis.
- Also good for digestive issues, high blood pressure, fever, STDs, arthritis, gout, lupus, colds, ulcers, IBS, menopause and fibromyalgia
- Can be used externally as an insect repellent, deodorant and ointment for skin infections.
