Chai Tea Latte

Chai tea contains L-theanine, an amino acid that may help to reduce stress and anxiety and promote relaxation. Black tea, one of the main ingredients in chai tea, also contains caffeine, which can help improve focus and mental alertness. Nutrition info is using whole milk.

DIETS: LC GF VG VT
Serves 3

Ingredients: 
  • 3 cups milk (whole, oat, almond, etc)
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 black tea bag
  • 1/8 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 Tablespoon honey

Instructions: 
  • Bring milk and spices to boil in a small saucepan (everything but the tea bag, vanilla and honey).
  • Once boiling, add the tea bag. Cover and remove from heat and let steep for 5 minutes.
  • Remove tea bag and add vanilla and honey and stir well.
  • Serve warm!
