Cheese Truffles

DIETS: LC GF KT VT
Serves 12
Time: About 15 minutes plus 4 hours refrigeration time

Ingredients: 
  • 2 pkg (8oz each) Cream Cheese, softened
  • 1 pkg (8oz) Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • dash ground red pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped roasted red pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onion
  • Sociables Savory Crackers (or dippers of choice)
  • Paprika, Fresh Parsley, Sesame Seeds and chopped nuts for rolling

Instructions: 
  • Beat cream cheese, shredded cheese, garlic powder and ground red pepper until well blended.
  • Divide in half.
  • Add roasted red pepper to one half.
  • Add green onions to the other half.
  • Mix each half until well blended.
  • Cover. Refrigerate for 2-3 hours for flavors to blend.
  • Shape cheese mixtures into separate 1" balls, or 1 large ball for each flavor.
  • Roll the red pepper flavor in Paprika and parsley.
  • Roll the green onion flavor in sesame seeds and chopped nuts.
  • Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
