Chocolate Chip Cookies

DIETS: LC VT
Makes around 4 dozen (depending on cookie size)
Time: 1.5 hours


Ingredients: 
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 cups add-ins (chocolate chips, m&m's, peanut butter chips, or mix & match!)

Instructions: 
  • Preheat oven to 300F.
  • In medium bowl combine flour, salt & baking soda.  Mix well and set aside.
  • In a large bowl mix sugars and butter until combined. 
  • Add eggs and vanilla and mix just until blended. 
  • Mix in desired add-ins until combined. 
  • Drop by rounded tablespoon-full onto ungreased cookie sheet (leaving about 2 inches between each cookie).  
  • Bake 18-22 minutes or until golden brown.  
  • Remove cookies from sheet and cool on a wire rack. 
  • Store in a cool, dry place (or in the refrigerator/freezer).
