Creamy Italian Chicken
This is an easy, delicious, versatile recipe that can be served on it's own with a side of your choice, or on top of angel hair pasta, or shredded and used as a hot sandwich filling!
Slow Cooker Recipe: Plan on 15-20 minutes prep time and 4-5 hours of crockpot time.
6 skinless, boneless chicken breasts (about 2 pounds total)
1/4 cup butter
1 7-ounce envelope Italian dry salad dressing mix
1 10 3/4-ounce can cream of mushroom soup
4 ounces cream cheese with chives and onion
1/2 cup dry white wine
1 pound angel hair pasta, or buns of choice if using as a hot sandwich filling.
Place chicken pieces in slow cooker (3 1/2-4 quart).
Make sauce by melting butter in a medium saucepan. Add salad dressing mix, soup, cream cheese and wine. Cook on medium heat until combined and warm.
Pour over chicken in cooker.
Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours.
Serve over hot cooked pasta, or shred and mix and use for hot sandwich filling.
