Creamy Tarragon Chicken

So easy....SO GOOD!
Serves 4
Time: About an hour - but most of that is cooking time.


Ingredients 
  • 2 Tablespoons oil
  • 4 thawed boneless, skinless chicken breasts (trimmed of fat if desired)
  • 1 envelope dry onion soup mix
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried tarragon leaves 
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • 2 Tablespoons flour
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Instructions: 
  • In large skillet, heat oil and brown chicken over med-high heat. 
  • Add onion recipe soup mix, tarragon, water and wine. 
  • Simmer, covered, 45 minutes or until chicken is done. 
  • Remove chicken to serving platter and keep warm. 
  • Mix flour with cream until no chunks of flour remain.  Add to skillet. 
  • Bring just to boiling point, then reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring constantly, until sauce is thickened (about 5 minutes). 
  • Pour sauce over chicken and serve.
