Make the sauce by putting all sauce ingredients in a food processor or blender until smooth. There should be about 2/3 cup of sauce. Transfer to a small saucepan and heat on low until warmed.
Warm/cook the edamame.
Assemble by spooning equal parts rice and edamame into a bowl and top with a tablespoon or 2 of sauce.
Sprinkle toasted almonds over the top.
Serve warm.
