Egg Bake

Make the night before! 

Serves 12

Ingredients: 
  • 8 slices white cottage bread, cubed
  • 1 cup shredded mild cheddar cheese
  • 1 package bacon, cooked and crumbled 
  • 8 eggs
  • 3 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
Vegetarian Option - Substitute Bacon with:
  • 1 (9oz) pkg Frozen cut broccoli, thawed & drained
  • 1 (2oz) jar sliced pimiento, drained

Instructions: 
  • Grease 13x9 inch baking dish.
  • Layer bread, cheese, bacon  (or broccoli and pimiento) in greased baking dish.
  • In medium bowl, combine eggs, milk, salt,  and onion powder; blend well.
  • Pour egg mixture evenly over bacon mixture. Cover; refrigerate at least 6 hours or overnight.
  • Heat oven to 325. Uncover; bake at 325 for 55-70 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
  • Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
