Whisk egg in a bowl and add all remaining ingredients except ground beef, mix well
Crumble in beef and mix very gently with hands (handle the meat as little as possible)
Gently shape mixture into patties about 3/4" thick. Using your thumb, make a shallow depression in the center of each burger to prevent puffing up during cooking.
Place burgers on grill, close lid, and cook until desired doneness
Serve in buns with desired toppings.
