Heat oven to 375F. Line muffin pan with 12 muffin cup liners.
Mix dry ingredients well. Add wet ingredients and stir just until dry ingredients are moistened.
Fill muffin cups 2/3 full.
Bake at 375F for 13-18 minutes.
Meanwhile, make Maple Butter by whipping butter and syrup well.
