Matcha Tea Latte

DIETS: LC GF VG VT
Serves 1

Ingredients: 
  • 1 teaspoon matcha green tea powder (regular green tea will work as well)
  • 1 cup plain unsweetened almond milk
  • Agave nectar, honey, or vanilla extract to taste

Instructions: 
HOT
  • Mix Matcha powder with 1/4 cup hot water, and stir until the mix becomes a smooth paste.
  • Heat the almond milk in a pan, and whisk until foamy.  Stir sweetener in.  Pour the milk mixture into the matcha paste and whisk to blend.  
  • Sprinkle with with pinch of matcha dust or cocoa powder. 
ICED
  • Put some ice into a tall glass; fill 1/2 the glass with cold almond milk and the rest with brewed matcha
  • Sprinkle with with pinch of matcha dust or cocoa powder.
