Milk Gravy

Ingredients: 
  • 1/4 cup meat drippings
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon better than bouillon (match the flavor to the meat)

Instructions: 
  • In large warm skillet, preferably used for cooking meat, add reserved meat drippings.
  • Add flour, salt & pepper and cook over medium heat for 5 minutes or until starting to brown.
  • Add milk, water, and better than bouillon and bring to a boil.  Boil, stirring constantly, for 2 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and keep warm.  
  • Serve drizzled over meat.
