Next Best Thing to Robert Redford Dessert

Classic recipe from my mom!

Servings: 12
Time: 1.5 hours

Ingredients: 
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 sticks butter
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans (plus a little more for garnishing)
  • 1 (8oz) pkg cream cheese
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 16 ounce carton of Cool Whip, divided
  • 2 (3oz) pkgs instant pudding (chocolate)
  • 3 cups cold milk
  • Chocolate shavings or sprinkles for garnishing

Instructions: 
  • Mix flour and butter and press into bottom of 9x13" pan. Bake 20 minutes at 325F. Cool completely.
  • Mix cream cheese, powdered sugar and 2 cups Cool Whip with mixer and spread over cooled crust. Refrigerate.
  • Mix pudding mix with milk and pour over cream cheese layer. Cover top with remaining Cool Whip. Decorate with chocolate shavings/sprinkles and/or finely chopped pecans.
  • Refrigerate.
