Pecan Spread

DIETS:
Serves 5


Ingredients: 
  •  8oz package cream cheese, softened
  • 2 Tablespoons milk
  • 2.5 oz dried beef, chopped
  • 1/4 cup chopped green pepper
  • 2 teaspoons dried minced onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 Tablespoon butter
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions: 
  • Preheat oven to 350F.
  • In a medium bowl beat cream cheese and milk until smooth. 
  • Add dried beef, green pepper, minced onion, garlic salt and pepper and mix well.
  • Fold in sour cream.
  • Melt butter in small saucepan and add pecans and salt.  Saute until slightly toasted (about 5 minutes).
  • Transfer cream cheese mixture to a greased 1-2 quart baking dish. 
  • Sprinkle with pecan mixture.
  • Bake, uncovered, for 20-25 minutes or until heated through and bubbling at edges. 
  • Serve hot with dippers of choice (crackers, bread, vegetables, etc)
