Desired toppings: fruit, chocolate, brown sugar, nuts, almond milk, etc
Instructions:
Heat water in a kettle on stovetop or microwave until near-boiling.
Rinse and strain quinoa.
In saucepan, heat oil over med heat. Add oats and toast for about 2 minutes. Add quinoa and hot water and bring to a boil.
Turn down heat and simmer uncovered for 25-30 minutes.
Mix in any desired add-ins
Good if stored in fridge for 1 week.
Topping Ideas:
Smores: mini marshmallows, graham cracker crumbs & chocolate syrup
Banana Nut: sliced banana, maple syrup & chopped pecans
Any fruit, with any nut, with sweetener (maple syrup, agave nectar, honey, etc).
