Preheat oven to 450F and move rack to top position.
Cut peppers in half and remove the stem and seeds.
Lay them cut-side down on a foil-lined baking sheet.
Bake for 20-30 minutes or until skin is charred.
Remove from pan and put in a bowl and cover with plastic wrap.
Leave sit until cooled and then remove skins (they should peel right off).
