Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil over med-high heat.
Make dressing by mixing sesame oil, soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, salt, chili oil, ginger, garlic and cilantro in a medium bowl. Stir until sugar is dissolved and set aside.
Add asparagus and noodles to the boiling water and cook until noodles are done (about 4 minutes).
Drain and rinse in cold water until cooled.
Drain off excess water and place noodles and asparagus in a large bowl.
Drizzle the dressing over the top and add the scallions and sesame seeds.
Mix/toss until noodles are coated in sauce.
Serve immediately or refrigerate for up to 3 days.
