Slow Cooker Spinach Dip

DIETS: KT VT
Serves 4-6 as an appetizer
Prep Time: 10 minutes; Cook Time: 1.5-2 hrs

Ingredients: 
  • 2 8oz packages cream cheese, cubed
  • 1/2-3/4 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 10-12 oz frozen chopped spinach
  • 1 envelope dry onion soup mix
  • 1 teaspoon prepared hot sauce
  • 1/2 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • Dippers of choice (veggie sticks, bread, crackers, chips, etc)

Instructions: 
  • Combine cream cheese and heavy cream in small slow cooker.  Cover and cook on high until cheese is melted (approximately 45 minutes). 
  • Add the spinach, soup mix and hot sauce and mix well.  Cover and cook on high for 45 minutes (if spinach is thawed) to 1 hour and 15 minutes (if spinach is frozen).   Stir midway through cooking if needed. 
  • Add green onions and lemon juice and mix thoroughly.  Serve immediately. 

**Can double or triple recipe for larger slow cookers**
