Steak with Bacon Sauce

DIETS: LC GF KT
Serves 4
Time: 45 Minutes

Ingredients: 
  • 5 slices bacon, cut into 1/2" pieces
  • 1/4 cup A1 Steak Sauce
  • 1/4 cup dry sherry or dry red wine
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar, packed
  • 4 small steaks (or 2 large t-bones)
  • Salt & pepper, to taste

Instructions: 
  • Cook bacon in a large skillet over medium-high heat until crispy.
  • Reduce heat to medium-low and add in A1, sherry/wine and brown sugar. Simmer for about 5 minutes or until slightly thickened.  Remove from heat and keep warm.
  • Season steaks with salt and pepper (to taste) on both sides.
  • Heat a thin layer of olive oil in a separate large saute pan over medium heat and cook steaks turning once, until done to preference. (about 5 minutes per side for rare)
  • Remove to a plate, cover tightly with foil, and let sit for 5-10 minutes.
  • Serve topped with warm sauce
