Tangy Barbecue Sauce

DIETS: LC GF VG VT
Makes approximately 2.5 cups (10 1/4 cup servings)
Time: 20 Minutes

Ingredients: 
  • 2 cups ketchup
  • 1/2 Tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons yellow mustard
  • 2 Tablespoons molasses
  • 1 Tablespoon Frank's Red Hot Sauce (or Tabasco)
  • 1 Tablespoon BBQ rub (or make your own here!) 
  • 2 teaspoons liquid smoke
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions: 
  • Mix all ingredients in a large saucepan and bring to a boil over med-high heat
  • Reduce heat to medium low and simmer approximately 10-15 minutes
  • Use immediately, or cool and store in the fridge for up to 3 months
