- Could be worsened by food intolerances, an ELIMINATION DIET could be helpful.
ESSENTIAL OILS
- Ginger, spearmint, geranium, melaleuca, myrrh, myrtle, peppermint, sandalwood (on lower back and bottom of feet)
NATURAL/HERBAL
- Agrimony, cardamom, German chamomile, evening primrose oil, fennel seeds, ginger, golden seal, hawthorn, lemon balm, marshmallow, meadowsweet, nutmeg, pepper, red raspberry leaves, savory, skullcap, slippery elm bark powder, St. John's Wort, stinging nettle, sumac, turmeric, valerian, wood betony, yellow dock, yarrow
- Any tea containing the herbal ingredients above (add honey and/or fresh ginger if you can)
- For Babies: Slippery elm tea (weak, in small amounts).
- Psyllium: 1-3 Tablespoons powder dissolved in water or juice a day (be sure to drink extra water throughout the day).
- Strong, cold, black India tea (no milk or sugar).
- Carob Powder: 20 grams (no more than 15 grams for children). Or mix 1 Tablespoon of the powder into a glass of water with a dash of cinnamon.
- Drink 1 cup of blackberry or blueberry juice, twice daily.
- Tea made of fresh strawberry leaves.
- Juice rhubarb and drink daily (omit if you have rheumatism, gout, arthritis, stones)
- Add 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon to 1 cup of warm water. Take 3-4 times daily until symptoms are relieved.
- Mix juice of 2 lemons to a quart of warm water. Drink in small doses until gone.
- Yarrow Tea: Cover 1/4 cup fresh (or 1/2-1 Tablespoon dried) herb with boiling water. Let steep for 5-15 minutes. Strain & drink. Sweeten with honey if desired.
