Infection
An infection occurs when a microorganism — such as bacteria, fungi, or a virus — enters a person's body and causes harm.

FOODS TO EAT MORE OF
  • Fruits: lemon, mango
  • Vegetables: cauliflower, fennel, kale
  • Poultry, yogurt
  • Cinnamon, turmeric, oregano, garlic

FOODS TO AVOID OR MINIMIZE
  • Soda, alcohol, dairy (except yogurt), refined white sugar/flour and fried foods

ESSENTIAL OILS 
  • Bergamot, chamomile, cinnamon, clary sage, clove, cypress, eucalyptus, frankincense, galbanum, jasmine, juniper, laurus nobilis, lavender, lemon, lemongrass, myrrh, oregano, peppermint, ravensara, rosalina, rosemary, tea tree (melaleuca), thyme (on location, bottom of feet, diffuse)
  • For Bacterial Infection: oregano, rosalina, thyme (on location)

HERBAL
  • Anise, Buchu, cayenne pepper, chamomile, comfrey, echinacea, gotu kola, golden seal, green tea, licorice, pau d'arco, thyme
  • Fresh basil leaves can be used topically to clear fungal infections on the skin
  • Calendula/Marigold can be helpful for fungal infections
  • Fresh echinacea poultice
  • Japanese honeysuckle leaves/stems

NATURAL
  • Make a poultice of bread crumbs or cubes and milk and apply to affected area
  • Make a poultice of Epsom salts and glycerine and apply to affected area
  • Cranberry Poultice​
  • Soak the area in hot water with Epsom salts

MIND-BODY CONNECTION​​
  • ​Can represent anger or irritation over a recent situation
