Thyroid Issues - Hypothyroidism
Symptoms include: fatigue, lethargy, memory problems, weight gain, constipation, intolerance to cold, dry hair and skin (especially on bottom of feet), goiter, heavy menstrual periods

Foods to Eat More Of: 
  • Fruits: Strawberries
  • Vegetables: sea veggies like kelp, dulse, wakame & nori, potatoes (with skin)
  • Dairy products (especially eggs with yolks and milk), iodized salt, freshwater fish, saltwater fish and shellfish

Foods to Avoid or Minimize: 
  • Raw cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, kale, cabbage and collard greens, turnips (they are okay if cooked however)

Supplements & Homeopathic:

  • Vitamin B Complex: 1 pill each morning (look for a B-100 complex with 100 mcg vitamin B12 and biotin, 400 mcg folic acid, and 100 mg all other B vitamins).
  • Kelp: 10 grains of powdered kelp daily (should supply 300 mcg iodine).
  • Tyrosine: 1,000 mg L-tyrosine daily (after 1 month, add a mixed amino acid complex).
  • Zinc/ Copper: 30 mg zinc (add 2 mg copper daily if using zinc longer than 1 month).
  • Forskolin: 50 mg twice daily (may lower blood pressure, don't use with prescription blood pressure drugs, should contain 18% forskolin). (if obesity, constipation, goiter and/or frequent headaches)
  • Fucus vesiculous 1X, 6C, 30C
