Not all recipes are nutritionally perfect, but the options below are a great way to start incorporating beneficial foods into your diet in delicious ways. Always try to buy organic, and feel free to make substitutions to accommodate gluten-free, vegan, etc diets.
Abbreviation Definitions:
LC = Low Calorie (under 400 for breakfast, 600 for lunch/dinner, and 200 for beverages/sides/snacks)

- Fruits: Apples, apricots, berries (especially blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, elderberry, persimmon), clementines, figs, grapefruit, grapes (especially red/purple), kiwi, lemons, limes, mangoes, oranges, papaya, peaches, pineapple, tangerines, tart red cherries, tomatoes (cooked is better), watermelon
- Vegetables: Artichokes, arugula, asparagus, beets (including the green tops), bok choy, broccoli (especially young sprouts), Brussels sprouts, cabbage (especially savoy and red), carrots, cauliflower, collard greens, eggplant, kale, mustard greens, onions, parsnips, peppers, radishes, romaine lettuce, spinach, squash, sweet potatoes, watercress
- Basil, garlic, ginger, horseradish, mustard, parsley, sauerkraut, turmeric, caraway
- Cumin (especially for tobacco-induced carcinogens)
- Green tea, olive oil, mushrooms (especially reishi, maitake & shiitake)
- Fatty fish (especially salmon & tuna), flax seed, beans, nuts, peas, soybeans, walnuts, pumpkin & sunflower seeds, bran, whole grains, soy products, yogurt
- Green superfoods to counteract radiation: Blue-green algae, spirulina, chlorella, barley, wheat grass, alfalfa grass
- Some nutritionists recommend the following food ratio's in your weekly diet: Fat=less than 20%; Fish=5% (preferably salmon or tuna); Soy=15%; Whole Grains=30-40%; Remaining % should be filled with fruits & vegetables listed above (some recommend eating a serving of broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, kale, garlic, onions and carrots daily).
FOODS TO AVOID OR MINIMIZE
- Alcohol, artificial sweeteners, processed foods, soda
- Red meat, dairy products (except yogurt)
- Excessive salt
- Pickled foods & fried foods
ESSENTIAL OILS
- Frankincense, helichrysum, rose, melrose, clove, sage, lemon, orange, white balsam fir, white fir (on location, diffuse, heart, feet & stomach, throat, spine)
- For Prostrate Cancer: anise, frankincense, yarrow, sage, fennel (on posterior scrotum, ankles, low back, bottom of feet)
- For Tumors: clove, frankincense, orange, lemon (on location, bottom of feet, add to food)
- For Uterine Cancer: frankincense, cedarwood, geranium, lemon, myrrh, rose (lower abdomen, lower back, bottom of feet, ankles). Also add drops of orange & lemon to food throughout the day
- For Breast Cancer: Carrot, clary sage, clove, frankincense, geranium, lavender, lemongrass, roman chamomile (on location)
- For Cervical Cancer: Benzoin, carrot, frankincense, geranium, lavender, lemon, myrrh (massage, on hips/lower abdomen/lower back, in baths)
- For Radiation burns: Chamomile, lavender, yarrow (diluted in a carrier oil, on location)
- For Lung Cancer: Frankincense, lavender
NATURAL/HERBAL
- Ashwagandha, Astragalus, basil, bloodroot, burdock root, calendula, catnip, cayenne, chickweed, echinacea, garlic, ginger, licorice, mustard, noni, parsley, pau d'arco, red clover flower, rosemary, sage, turmeric
- For nausea: try ginger tea (with food)
- For skin cancer and radiation burns: Aloe (fresh from the leaf).
- The 100-year old Hoxsey herbal compound - a blend of pokeweed, burdock root, buckthorn and other plants that is sold by herbalists - is among the oldest and most debated alternative therapies in the US.
- Pour 1 quart water over 1 cup blood root, 2 cups clover blossoms and 1 Tablespoon ginger. Boil down to 1 pint. Strain and add 1 pint of good whiskey. Take 1 teaspoon 3 times daily.
- Drink pure apple cider vinegar.
- A shot of Montmorency cherry juice daily.
- Dissolve 3 teaspoons of turmeric in very hot milk along with a pinch of black pepper. Let it cool slightly and drink daily.
- Green tea
- Ginseng has been known to help with radiation and chemotherapy support (do not take for longer than 4 weeks).
- Valerian has been used for it's anti-tumor properties
- A shot of Montmorency cherry juice daily.
- Essiac Tea
- For chemo recovery: Astragalus
- For general recovery: Ashwaganda
- For tumors: Ground Ivy/Creeping Charlie

SUPPLEMENTS & HOMEOPATHIC
- ACHH: 1,000-3,000 mg daily
- Amino Acids: Mixed amino acids plus NAC (500 mg 3 times daily) and L-glutathione (250 mg twice daily) - take L-glutathione separately from other amino acids
- Carotenoids: 3 pills mixed carotenoids a day with food (should have 25,000 IU Vit A activity)
- Coenzyme Q10: 200 mg each morning (take with food)
- Echinacea: 200 mg 3 times daily (rotate in 3-week cycles with astragalus (400 mg twice daily), pau d'arco (500 mg twice daily), and mushrooms (below)
- Green Tea Extract: 100-300 mg daily with meals
- Indole-3-Carbinol: 200 mg twice daily for women; 200 mg 3 times daily for men
- IP-6 (Inositol hexaphosphate): 800 mg twice daily
- MGN: 1 g three times a day for 3 weeks, then decrease to 1 g twice daily
- Mushrooms: 500 mg reishi, 400 mg shiitake, 200 mg maitake 3 times daily; and/or 3,000 mg Coriolus versicolor divided into 2 daily doses (avoid reishi mushrooms if you're on anticoagulants)
- Selenium: 200 mcg daily (do not exceed 600 mcg daily
- Vitamin A: 50,000 IU daily for 1 month, then 25,000 IU daily (pregnant women should not exceed 5,000 IU daily)
- Vitamin C/ Vitamin E: 2,000-4,000 mg Vitamin C 3 times daily; 400 IU vitamin E twice daily)
MIND-BODY CONNECTION
- Can represent feelings "eating away" at you - such as a deep secret, hatred, guilt, or grief.
- Breast and uterine cancer can represent a lack of nurturing or self-nurturing in your life, or an inability to nurture others.
- Breast cancer can also represent symptoms of grief/a broken heart.
- Ovarian and Prostate cancer can represent the connection between your inner values/morals and your external behavior/choices. Look at where your lifestyle contradicts your internal thoughts about what is right.
- Stomach cancer (and other cancers of the central organs) can represent mental stress caused by a fear of losing power tied to physical survival, like financial security. Try to work on releasing the fear of money (either having too much or too little).
- Skin and bone marrow cancer can represent a vulnerability of pursuing your dream without the support of others, a fear of rejection and/or the need to control change. Work on believing in yourself without the approval of others.
